Roller Compactor, also known as Dry Granulator, is an advanced powder granulation equipment designed to convert fine powders into uniform granules through dry compaction technology. Unlike traditional wet granulation processes, this equipment does not require water addition, binder mixing, or drying procedures, which significantly simplifies the production process and reduces energy consumption.
With excellent performance in processing moisture-sensitive and heat-sensitive materials, the Roller Compactor is widely applied in pharmaceutical, chemical, nutraceutical, and food industries, especially for active ingredients requiring gentle processing conditions.
The raw powder material is continuously fed into the compaction chamber through a precision feeding system, including mechanical or pneumatic feeding options.
Inside the chamber, the material is compressed between two high-pressure rollers to form dense sheets or ribbons. The compacted sheets are then broken into smaller pieces by the pre-crushing system and further processed through a two-stage milling system to achieve the required granule size.
The entire granulation process is completed without adding liquid or external heat, ensuring stable product quality and maintaining the original properties of the materials.
